- Who it is for
- Businesses spending at least €10,000 a year on energy at the site, excluding transport, and not already obliged to audit under other legislation.
- What it covers
- A €2,000 voucher towards a professional energy audit. VisionGreen's product information states it covers 80 to 100 per cent of the audit cost. Larger energy users may top it up.
- What you get
- A written report setting out the measures worth doing, what each saves and what each costs.
- Our note
- This is where most of our clients start. We carry out the audit and help with the application.

Questions we get asked
What is the difference between EXEED and Business Energy Upgrades?
Business Energy Upgrades is for standard measures such as a heat pump, insulation or controls, with quick approval and a fixed cap per measure. EXEED is for larger projects where energy efficiency is designed in from the start, and it funds the design work as well as the build, up to €3 million.
Which grant should we start with?
For most businesses spending over €10,000 a year on energy, the SEAI Support Scheme for Energy Audits. It gives you €2,000 towards an audit and a written report that shows which upgrades are worth doing and which SEAI grant covers each one.
Can we use more than one scheme?
Often yes, in sequence rather than at the same time for the same work. A common path is an SEAI-funded audit to find the opportunities, then an Enterprise Ireland support to develop the plan, then capital funding for the measures themselves.
Does VisionGreen handle the application?
We complete the technical parts with you and are named as the provider. The application itself is made by your business, because the funding goes to you rather than to us.
Is grant support available for energy monitoring hardware?
Yes, grant support is available towards monitoring hardware. Which route applies depends on the sector, the size of the business and the measure, so we identify it before you commit to anything.
One call settles which one applies
Tell us your headcount and roughly what you spend a year on energy. That is enough for us to tell you which schemes are open to you.
The SEAI audit grant alone is worth €2,000.
